MAX3966C/D are a family of Productivity Enhanced, low-cost High Side Switches specifically designed to drive high-power LEDs (2.0A peak) found in applications such as street lamps, posters, backlighting, and other lighting applications. These devices not only provide high-current capability but also feature a low-voltage protection and sense/enable features to ensure efficient and safe operation.

MAX3966C/D switches feature an adjustable voltage output that can be set to either a constant voltage or a variable voltage to match a given LED forward voltage that can range from approximately 1V to 8V.
