MAX5048CEVKIT is an evaluation and demonstration boards and kits developed by Maxim Integrated. It is designed for evaluation and development of switching applications using the MAX5048A/MAX5048B high/low-side device drivers. It contains the MAX5048A/MAX5048B device driver IC, of which the MAX5048B being specifically designed for high current, high temperature, high voltage applications.

The application field of MAX5048CEVKIT covers automotive applications such as E-motor drive, warning horns, and safety and thermal management. It is also widely applied in industrial applications such as solenoid valve, brushless DC motor, and step motor.

The device driver IC used in MAX5048CEVKIT is an optimally designed for low gate-charge MOSFETs. It integrates an adjustable fast-charge and fast-discharge NMOS gate driver, a low-impedance bootstrap capacitor and charge pump, two NMOS output driver outputs, a PMOS gate driver, an adjustable soft-start time delay, overcurrent/overvoltage protection circuit, and current and voltage sense circuits.
