The MAX5083ATE+T is a powerful switch mode DC-DC regulator designed for reliable, high-efficiency power management. This versatile, integrated voltage regulator combines a PWM synchronous buck converter with a low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator, providing high-precision, regulated output ideal for both high-current, high-voltage and low-current, low voltage applications, such as powering digital ASICs, FPGAs and processors.

The device operates over an input voltage range of 2V to 5.5V and provides an adjustable output voltage from 0.7V to 5.5V with up to 3A output current. It features a low-noise load transient response and a low-dropout voltage (LDO) linear regulation for better output control and accuracy. The device also features built-in current limit, thermal shutdown and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) protection.

The MAX5083ATE+T operates in two modes of operation: synchronous buck and low-dropout linear. The synchronous buck mode is enabled through the enable input (EN) pin.
