Data Acquisition is an integral aspect of modern electronic systems. It also features an analog reference input for flexible gain configuration, a programmable step size (LSB), and an internal voltage reference (VREF) for accurate voltage regulation down to ±25 mV. It also offers an internal offset error of ±1LSB and 150-ppm/°C gain error.

The MAX5104EEE+ has a number of operational modes, the most important of which are digital-to-analog conversion, pulse-density modulation (PDM), and matched exponential digital-to-analog conversion. The chip operates from a single 3.3V or 5V supply on the MSB side, and a digitally controlled analog current source provided by an integrated low-dropout (LDO) regulator.
