The MAX5134EVKIT+ evaluation board is a Digit to Analog (DAC) Converter which allows designers to test and evaluate its capabilities in real-world applications such as industrial motor control, power supply design, control loop, and other digital control systems. This digital-to-analog converter is designed for precision signal-processing applications. It features a wide output voltage range of 0 V to 10 V, accurate 12-bit resolution, and fast settling time of ~20 ns. The compact size of the board, small footprint, and quick setup make it an attractive solution for low power and prototyping.The MAX5134EVKIT+ evaluation board is based on the MAX5134 Digital-to-Analog Converter IC (DAC). This IC provides high output resolution of up to 12-bit resolution (4094 steps) with ±3 LSB maximum integral nonlinearity (INL). It features an internal voltage reference, allowing it to autonomously operate without an external reference for accurate results. The IC offers fast settling time of up to 20 ns for high-speed applications. The evaluation board allows the user to easily evaluate the MAX5134 DAC performance by providing a wide variety of input and output signal formats. It has four modes of operation for the DAC, including Current Bipolar (IB), Current Unipolar (IU), Voltage Bipolar (VB), and Voltage Unipolar (VU). The user can select the operating mode of the DAC via the onboard potentiometer. Moreover, the user can test the DAC performance in different resolutions, such as 8-bit, 10-bit, and 12-bit. The board includes a number of on-board, user-selectable components for selecting different input and output signal formats. These include a four-directional analog switch, EMI filter, contrast adjustment potentiometer, buffer amplifier, and voltage divider.
