The MAX5353BEPA+ is an advanced digital-to-analog converter (DAC), designed to operate as either a current output DAC or voltage output DAC. Using a proprietary high-speed, high-linearity 8-bit bi-directional digital-to-analog converter (DAC) core, the MAX5353BEPA+ is capable of achieving better than 0.12LSB (1LSB=1/256th of the full-scale range) linearity error, and 11-bit monotonic performance, making these devices ideal for data acquisition applications such as motor drive, voltage or current control, and process control.
The MAX5353BEPA+ is also capable of producing up to 8 bits of accuracy, with an output range from 0 to 4v. It gives the designer the flexibility to be able to adjust the gain for better dynamic range and resolution, as well as ensuring minimum settling time. In applications that demand a current output, the MAX5353BEPA+ offers a peak current of 4mA with adjustable gain up to 16. It also supports a peak voltage output of 4V, adjustable gain up to 31. It features programmable error correction, temperature compensation, and slew rate control.
