Max536AEPE+ is a data acquisition digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It belongs to a family of digital-to-analog converters that consist of voltage and current output versions. Max536AEPE+ is a premiere digital-to-analog converter that provides high resolution and accuracy, as well as fast settling time and excellent linearity.Max536AEPE+ finds its use in applications, where it is necessary to convert a digital signal into analog signal, such as control of step motor, servo motor, sensored output and similar applications. The core characteristic of Max536AEPE+ is that it is able to convert digital signals into analog data quickly and accurately.Max536AEPE+ is comprised of a power source, an on-chip voltage-level translator as well as a 5-bit DAC/DAC, voltage output amplifiers, output resistors and other components. Max536AEPE+ has a wide range of output voltage range, from -VCC to +VCC. Output is provided with 4 user-selectable polarity polarities.In order to achieve its excellent performance, the following principles need to be taken into account. First of all, power supply has to be sufficient to provide accurate and reliable operation. Secondly, external gain resistors need to be properly selected according to the required output voltage range. Thirdly, offsets (zero-scale and full-scale non-linearities) have to be taken into consideration. Fourthly, the output of the Max536AEPE+ needs to be properly connected to the load, taking into account the direction of the current.The Max536AEPE+ can be used in both single-ended and differential mode. In single-ended mode, the analog output is the difference between the reference source and the DAC output. In differential mode, the analog output is the difference between the two DAC outputs.The on-chip voltage-level translator can be used to translate from one logic family to another. The Max536AEPE+ can accept input supply voltages from 1V to 12V, allowing for a wide range of applications.The clock input of the Max536AEPE+ allows a conversion to take place with a maximum speed of 5MHz. This makes it suitable for high-speed applications.Max536AEPE+ has high linearity and fast settling time, making it suitable for applications where it is necessary to quickly and accurately convert digital signals into analog data. It also has low power consumption, which makes it ideal for low-power applications.The Max536AEPE+ offers excellent performance in a wide range of data acquisition applications, including control of step motor, servo motor, sensored output and similar applications.
