Data Acquisition - Digital to Analog Converters (DAC)

The Max5443BEUA 8-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Maxim Integrated provides a unipolar voltage output with a reference voltage of 2.5V. Max5443BEUA provides a wide range of output voltages from a programmable reference voltage and is ideal for voltage scaling applications. The high performance DAC includes a 19MHz serial peripheral interface (SPI), with maximum throughput of 621kbps (kilo bits per second) and is compatible with SPI, QSPI, Microwire and other popular serial buses. It is available in 16-pin SOIC, SOT and TSSOP packages.

The Max5443BEUA is an 8-bit DAC with an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. It offers excellent linearity and accuracy at a wide range of temperatures with a specification of ±0.9 LSB DNL (differential nonlinearity) and ±1 LSB INL (integral nonlinearity). In addition, the device provides a low absolute gain error of ±3 LSB (max) and a low absolute offset error of ±3 LSB (max). It also features a low power operation of 4.8 mW (<72 nA) and high immunity to crosstalk and radiation.

The Max5443BEUA features an on-chip reference with a full-scale output level of 2.5V (typical). The internal reference enables the device to achieve high resolution and low power consumption.
