Working Principle of the MAX545ACPD+

The MAX545ACPD+ operates from a single +10V to +15V, bipolar DAC power supply and the output can swing between the DAC supply voltage and GND. The reference input of the MAX545ACPD+ is a single 5V to + 10V voltage.
The MAX545ACPD+ provides user-selectable gain-setting resistors, with two resistor values and three ratios. The 10x resistor can be switched between 10 and 20 KΩ, while the 100x resistor can be switched between 100 and 200KΩ. This allows the total gain range to be on the order of single to 1020.
The reference voltage is applied to the multiplier inputs of both DACs, allowing the user to integrate variable voltage sources into their circuit. As the reference voltage is varied, the user can adjust the gain and offset characteristics of the DAC. In addition, the MAX545ACPD+ provides a high-gain output amplifier that allows output to swing between the DAC supply voltage and GND.
