Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Controllers are important devices used in networks and communication systems. PoE controllers provide power over the Ethernet cable, and are an efficient way of providing power to devices in remote locations. A key component in the design of PoE controllers is the MAX5922CEUI+T. This application note will discuss the application field and working principle of the MAX5922CEUI+T.
The MAX5922CEUI+T is a fully integrated single-chip, Power Over Ethernet (PoE) controller for IEEE802.3-compliant Powered Devices (PDs). It integrates both DC-DC controllers and a Linear Regulator, and supports both Passive PoE and IEEE802.3af-compliant PoE.
