The MAX6070BAUT25+T (MAX6070BAUT25 Active Voltage Reference) is a high-performance temperature-stabled voltage reference. It is a member of Texas Instruments\' MAX family of precision voltage references and is offered in a 5-pin TO-220-11L-P header. The MAX6070BAUT25+T provides excellent temperature stability with a 0.015%/°C output drift (over a temperature range from 0 to +70°C).
The MAX6070BAUT25+T is a low-power, low-noise, voltage reference device designed for analog-to-digital converter calibration, precision voltage offset/gain adjustment, and power supply supervision applications. The reference is available in two temperature-stability grades, a standard grade and higher-accuracy grade. The standard grade has a drift of 0.045%/°C over a temperature range from -40 to +85°C, and a maximum reference tolerance of ±2%. The higher-accuracy grade has a drift of 0.015%/°C over a temperature range from 0 to +70°C and a maximum reference tolerance of ±0.5%.

Working Principle
The MAX6070BAUT25+T is a high-performance temperature stable voltage reference. It has a current-limited input pin that allows it to achieve low quiescent current while maintaining excellent line regulation. Additionally, it has an open-drain output pin that can be used to supply a regulated voltage to other parts of the circuit.
The voltage reference is designed to be relatively immune to environmental variations in temperature and can withstand sizable transient voltage spikes. It has a wide common-mode input range of 0 to 6V and a dynamic output impedance of 0.1Ω, making it well-suited for use in a variety of measurement and control applications. The on-chip active temperature compensation ensures a very low temperature coefficient of 0.015%/°C.
The MAX6070BAUT25+T also has an optional internal compensation pin that can be used to reduce the output voltage drift over temperature. This pin can be used in conjunction with an external resistor and capacitor to reduce the drift to an even lower temperature coefficient.
