The MAX631AMJA/883B switch-mode DC-DC power converter is part of Maxim Integrated\'s family of isolated DC-DC switching regulators. It is designed for cost-effective isolated DC-to-DC regulation in a variety of applications including telecommunications, automotive, industrial, and lighting applications. The MAX631AMJA/883B is a feature-rich 4th order buck-boost DC-DC converter that provides very efficient and high-density power conversion. It has voltage and current sense inputs, a diode-ORed output and responsive short circuit protection. It is also programmable over a wide range of input and output voltages and provides excellent line response, transient response, and low output noise.

The MAX631AMJA/883B offers high efficiency, low EMI, and low cost power regulation. It utilizes a 4th order buck-boost topology with a constant frequency voltage mode control to provide continuous regulation over an extended input range. The wide input range, high current handling capability, programmable output voltage, and integrated feedback circuitry make the MAX631AMJA/883B an ideal power solution for a variety of applications including wireless base stations, automotive, industrial and lighting systems. The 4th order buck-boost topology allows the regulator to operate at a fixed frequency with no need for external components.
