The device has a wide input voltage operation range from 4.5V to 14V, and a wide reset-assertion threshold range from 2.4V to 4.4V. It offers a fixed reset output delay of 25ms, which can be adjusted using an external timing capacitor. The MAX6334UR18D3+ is designed to drive up to two active low reset outputs, which can be connected directly to two different power supply rails on the motherboard.The MAX6334UR18D3+ works by monitoring the two different power supply rails of the system, as well as the system voltage. It then compares the voltage levels to the programmed voltage levels and if either of the two supply voltages exceeds the preset value, it initiates a reset that signals the processor to shut down and restart in a stable condition.
