MAX6381XR43D2+T is a power management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) that serves as a supervisor IC (Supervisors) to monitor and control the system power utilization. It is primarily used in different power utilization systems, namely, server and desktop PCs, laptop PCs, display panels and systems using multiple voltage sources.The MAX6381XR43D2+T is a low voltage supervisor with integrated microprocessor-compatible reset circuitry. It monitors and controls a system\'s power utilization and resetting through the use of devices with separate enable (EN) signals. This enables a system to remain active even when it is subjected to extreme temperature and power conditions.At its most basic level, the device\'s operating principle is to check whether the power supply voltage is above a predetermined value or not. In case the voltage is not, the device holds its EN output low until the voltage returns to a safe value. In case, on the other hand, the voltage is within the safe range, a reset pulse is sent, enabling it to start the system again.The MAX6381XR43D2+T integrated circuit uses a low voltage level detector connected with the EN pin for detecting changes in the power supply voltage. It also uses a comparator input to detect changes in the power supply voltage from the user-defined thresholds. When the voltage reaches the preset thresholds, the IC then sends a reset pulse or EN signal according to the user settings.The MAX6381XR43D2+T also provides additional features such as programmable reset parameters, power-on delay, and reset pulse width. It also supports programmable input current threshold, hysteresis and temperature guardband. These features ensure that maximum power efficiency is maintained during powering up, operation and resetting the system.Moreover, the MAX6381XR43D2+T integrated circuit also provides fail-safe operation support. This means that even if the power supply fails or goes awry, the system will go through the reset procedure and start up again.
