The MAX6423US20+T is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) - Supervisors. It is designed to monitor and protect a wide range of multi-cell embedded Li-ion, Li-polymer, and NiCd/NiMH batteries. Working Principle

The MAX6423US20+T provides several voltages for safe and efficient charge control, active and passive cell balancing, voltage monitoring, and shutdown protection. The internal circuits only require two external components, which minimizes board space and cost. This maximizes reliability and reduces energy loss.

The MAX6423US20+T contains a power supply voltage regulator that converts the input voltage (3V to 15V) to the regulated output voltages needed by the circuits, such as VCC, VCH and VEC. The voltage regulator is designed to provide accurate voltage regulation and improved power efficiency.

The MAX6423US20+T also contains linear supervisors to monitor the voltages, such as the battery voltage and system supplies voltages.
