Working Principle

The MAX6789TB+T is powered by a low-voltage input source, typically a Li-ion or Li-Po battery. When the voltage at the input power source exceeds the specified level, the charger will start charging the battery. The charger is integrated with an adjustable current limit that regulates the maximum allowed current it draw and charges the battery accordingly. The voltage at the output of the charger is monitored by the voltage monitoring system and will shut down when it detects an over-voltage condition. The real-time current measurement system accurately measure, monitor and record the amount of current from and to the battery and the Adjustable Thermal Management System is integrated to prevent the battery from overheating.The built-in coulomb counter Circuit also records and accumulates the integrated current passing through the battery.
