The voltage comparator within the MAX6801UR31D3+ comparator module monitors up to two supply voltages. When any of the monitored voltages drops below the reset threshold, the MAX6801UR31D3+ triggers an internal reset signal, thus resetting the system. The fault indicator output can be used to indicate a fault and can also be used to power-cycle the system. The power-on reset (POR) feature enables resetting the system whenever the voltage of any of the monitored supplies drops below the reset threshold level. The MAX6801UR31D3+ supervisor IC provides a variety of features to optimize system power management. It uses a low quiescent current (QC) of 19μA, reducing system power consumption while providing fault indication and reset functions. It also has a fast reset propagation time of 7μs, ensuring quick reset of the system in case of fault occurrence. An adjustable reset threshold feature allows setting up the reset threshold voltage level, enabling setting it to the most suitable range for different supply voltages.
