It features a wide operating voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V, a programmable voltage range of 1.19V to 4.63V and no external components. The adjustable thresholds allow for setting a warning threshold and an alarm threshold, making it particularly useful when powering high-current applications in harsh environmental conditions.The under-voltage (UV) monitor precision is adjustable and has a programmable threshold for detecting changes in voltage level. It also includes two open-drain outputs, reset and alarm, for independent control of system power rails. The reset output is active when the voltage level is below the warning threshold, and the alarm output is active when the voltage level is below the alarm threshold. The reset output is reset by pulling a logic high signal to disable the alarms, and the alarm output is reset by pulling a logic low signal. The MAX6801UR44D2+T also integrates a watchdog timer to detect no changing voltage or hold-up state of the system power rails.The device has two counts of delay, one for the reset output and one for the alarm output, to ensure that transitioning systems don’t cause short and frequent false alarm triggers. In addition, the device also has a Watchdog Timer (WDT) with an adjustable timeout and an open drain output that can be used as a failsafe action to prevent long-term system operation under hazardous conditions.
