MAX6855UK30D6+T is a multi-level supervisor for supervising µP/µC systems with two push-button over-voltage shutdown inputs, or one push-button override and one over-voltage shutdown input. It is designed for monitoring systems that use 3V to 3.6V rail or up to 6.5V total supply voltage (TSPV). The device provides an adjustable supply voltage monitor, push-button override input, and three independent supply voltage reset outputs. The reset outputs can be used for resetting a processor core, peripherals and memory.

Working Principle
The MAX6855UK30D6+T has an adjustable two threshold voltage comparator to detect the falling edge of the supply voltage. When the low-side threshold is reached, a Reset Output is asserted (active low). When it returns above a high-side threshold, the Reset Output is released. An Over-Voltage Shutdown (OVS) input prevents a supply voltage from rising above a preset level. When the OVS pin is connected to a high supply voltage, the reset output will be asserted for as long as the Supply Voltage is at or above the preset level. The push-button override input provides a means of manually resetting the system. When the push-button ovreride is pressed, the reset output is immediately released, regardless of the voltage threshold comparator measurement. The MAX6855UK30D6+T includes a reset timing circuit to ensure a minimum reset pulse width of 55ms in order to guarantee that the processor can execute a full power-on reset (POR) sequence.
