PMIC – Supervisors

PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) – supervisors are type of integrated circuits specifically designed for power management. Both comparators feature a power-on reset delay of 250 ms.

Furthermore, the reset outputs of Comparator A and Comparator B are open-drain, providing a wide range of reset asserts. The MAX6887AETE+ also includes four low-threshold reset inputs, allowing the user to monitor inputs from other components in the system. This flexibility allows the MAX6887AETE+ to reset multiple components in the system, providing improved system reliability. Additionally, the integrated manual reset GPIO pin can be used to reset a wide range of components, such as a watchdog timer.
