When the voltage rises or falls below the preset threshold, a reset signal is generated. The manual reset input provides another means of resetting the device.

The overvoltage protection feature detects any AC mains overvoltage, brownouts or DC output under/overvoltage and issues a reset signal. The undervoltage protection feature is capable of detecting excessive DC output undervoltage, brownouts and AC mains overvoltage. The user is able to configure the reset outputs, thus providing a wide variety of output configuration options. In case of emergency shutdown, MAX690SESA+ go into safe mode and the reset output emits a low-true signal that alerts the host processor to take corrective action.
