The board is suitable for RADAR, DSP, navigation, communication, and monitoring applications as well.The main components of the MAX7044EVKIT-315 are a Maxim Integrated board and its associated accessories — an LCD display and driver circuit, oscillator, level shifter, voltage regulators, and a power-management IC. It also has two coding switches for the programming of the MCU pins.The main features of the board are: a total of 99 pins for connection and control, 27 programmable pins with various voltage levels for easy development, 0.062” pin-pitch compatible with multiple DIP and single-pin configuration; Board can be powered by battery up to 3.3 and 5 volts,1.8V and 3.3V ICs.The working principle of the board is basic. The LCD display is connected to the board via a parallel port and then to the Arduino from where the software is implemented. The MAX7044 IC is connected to the power-management IC through the level-shifter. The oscillator onboard is used to generate the required frequencies for operation. The voltage-regulators on the board are used to supply the different voltage levels required by the IC. The coding switches are also used for programming the pins of the MCU.The MAX7044EVKIT-315 features a simple design which makes it ideal for commercial and industrial applications such as test and medical equipment. The kit is also IDE code compatible and can be used with programming platforms such as the Arduino, Microchip, PIC and Atmel.
