MAX717CSE is a special purpose voltage regulator. It provides an efficient and cost-effective way for power supply design. It is a three-terminal, adjustable precision voltage regulator, available in 5V fixed output, 8V adjustable output, and 10V adjustable output. All types are capable of controlling either AC or DC output of up to 0.5A current.

The MAX717CSE operates by converting an input voltage into a constant regulated output voltage. When the input voltage is greater than the regulated output voltage, the maximum current available through the regulator is limited by the current limit circuit.
