The MAX734CSA+T integrates external devices needed to create a linear, low-noise, low-drop-out, positive voltage regulator for special purpose applications. The MAX734+ includes an ultra-low-dropout voltage regulator, adjustable voltage reference, charge pump/precision current source, and output current limiter. This single package solution is suitable for a variety of special purpose applications, from fan and laser controller to GPS receiver and digital logic supplies, to special purpose power conditioning for portable devices and embedded system.

The MAX734CSA+T is a Complete Positive Low-Dropout Voltage Regulator with Current Limit, all packaged in a thermally enhanced 10-pin mini-Melf package with an output voltage of up to 5V. The MAX734CSA+T is an adjustable, low-dropout voltage regulator with a wide operating temperature range, fast transient responses, low noise, and excellent load disturbances. Its low output voltage drop-down capability of 0.45V provides reliable power over the full temperature and load range and makes it an ideal choice for portable applications.

The working principle of the MAX734CSA+T is relatively simple. It operates off a power supply comprised of either an external or internal reference.
