The MAX72466B is a high-performance LVCMOS (low voltage complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor) transceiver designed for use in interfacing computer systems and peripheral devices that support the PCI Express, or PCIe, protocol. The MAX72466B is an integrated I/O transceiver that is optimized for both cost and performance and is compliant with PCIe 1.1 and 2.0 standards. The device supports transmit and receive data interfaces, as well as low power-saving features and error detection/correction features.
The MAX72466B Application field involves four main interconnect applications: PCI Express, USB, Serial ATA and Serial Attached SCSI.
The key feature of the MAX72466B is its low voltage CMOS, or LVCMOS, technology. This technology, developed by Maxim Integrated Products, provides high-performance and low-power operation. The MAX72466B is an I/O transceiver that operates at only 0.7V and 0.1uA typical power dissipation, allowing for low-power operation with excellent performance.
