MAX7306ALB+

Working Principle

The core of the MAX7306ALB+ is an advanced Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) technology that allows it to control the apparent brightness of the LEDs with very high accuracy. This technology switches the LEDs on and off hundreds of times per second and adjusts the amount of time each LED is energized to produce the desired dimming level. This dimming level is varied using an analog input signal from a microcontroller or external potentiometer. By changing the voltage of the signal fed to the IC, the user can precisely adjust the LED brightness from 0% to 100%.

The MAX7306ALB+ has a wide input voltage range (3.3V to 36V) and a wide dimming range (0% to 100%). It also incorporates various protection features such as Load Disconnect, Over-Current Protection, Thermal Shutdown, and Open LED Connections detection.

The MAX7306ALB+ is available in an 8-pin TDFN package and is RoHS compliant. It is capable of driving up to 4 LEDs in series with one IC and is ideal for applications where power conservation is a primary concern.
