Interface - I/O Expanders are specialized ICs used to extend the available input/output pins on a system. Among them, MAX7322AEE+ are some of the most popular I/O expander ICs available in the market. It is a CMOS, 8-bit I/O port expander for I2C bus- and SPI-compatible applications. It provides 8-bit parallel I/O expansion for the two-wire I2C serial bus or the SPI serial bus. The MAX7322AEE+ has eight pins each comprising of two schmitt-trigger inputs and one open-drain output.
