MAX7324ATG+ is an Interface - I/O Expanders from Maxim Integrated. It is a low-voltage I/O expanders for I2C and SMBus with unbeatable performance, extended temperature range, and industry-best power consumption. MAX7324ATG+ improves noise immunity with integrated high ESD clamp diodes, programmable output slew rate, and programmable default output state. It is capable of up to 20 I/O port with current-sinking or sourcing, depending upon the user’s application.

Working Principle

The MAX7324ATG+ comprises of a high-performance, low-voltage bus expander with multiple I/O ports and integrated diodes for 10 independent I/Os. The integrated diode protection helps protect the I/O pins from shorts caused due to electrostatic discharge.

Each I/O port is programmable as an input or output and supports both current sinking and sourcing. The expander also supports the option to configure a logic 0 value as the default output state of an output port.
