The MAX7325AEG+ is an interface - I/O Expanders chip designed to provide an easy and cost-effective way to add GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) to a design. It provides 32 general-purpose inputs/outputs that can be configured in 1.8, 2.5, 3.3, 5.0, and 12V logic levels, and can be used to form simple control systems like infrared, LED, and buzzer applications, or simple digital logic operations like input sensing or basic logic operations. The MAX7325AEG+ is an ideal solution for applications such as automotive, industrial, medical, and consumer applications.
The MAX7325AEG+ can be used to easily configure 32 GPIOs (General Purpose Input/Outputs) for digital control. All the inputs and outputs are independently configurable in multiple combinations including low-voltage (1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V) and high-voltage (5V, 12V) logic levels. The chip also allows for up to 15 external interrupts. These interrupts can trigger events such as interrupt events, wake-up events, and logic level changes. The MAX7325AEG+ can be programmed to provide 8-bit static current output, as well as programmable PWM and ADCs.
The MAX7325AEG+ also features a few other useful features. One is the programmable input hysteresis. This hysteresis ranges from 0V to 15V, allowing for the creation of complex logic operations.
