It is one of the most advanced DC/DC switching regulators in the market.The MAX738AEWE+ is designed to provide a high-efficiency power supply without the need of external components. The MAX738AEWE+ can be configured as either a step-down or a step-up power supply and can be used to provide high-efficiency voltage conversion in a wide range of applications, such as telecomms, lithium ion battery chargers, power supplies and notebook computers.The device offers excellent transient response and eliminates the need for a large output capacitor, thus minimizing the system’s power loss and providing a small solution size.The MAX738AEWE+ operates with input voltages up to 14V, delivers up to 7A output current, with output voltages as low as 0.75V, and provides an integrated low-side switch for simplified input voltage sequencing. The device contains an internal 1.4A non-overlapping P-channel switch, which eliminates the need for an external FET driver.The regulator also features a programmable slope compensation circuit and adjustable soft-start, which help to optimize the transient response of the device. The low-side switch can be disabled via the EN/TRISTATE pin, thus allowing the device to enter stand-by mode.The MAX738AEWE+ is available in a 8-pin TSSOP package and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
