The MAX752CPA is a dual channel step-down DC-DC switching regulator IC (PMIC), designed to convert a higher input voltage to a lower regulated voltage with a low-cost, fixed frequency, pulse-width modulated (PWM) architecture. It integrates two independent synchronous buck converters capable of delivering up to 3A of continuous output current per channel. It is also equipped with a programmable current foldback overvoltage protection, designed to prevent overcurrent or overvoltage faults from occurring. Its built-in preset output voltage levels range from 0.8V to 5.3V for both channels, making it ideal for a variety of applications like low power DSP and microprocessor core-voltage regulators, gate-level drive voltage regulators, FPGA core regulators and DDR-type memory regulators.

The MAX752CPA devices feature excellent power efficiency, low noise and high transient response, making them suitable for many industrial, telecommunications systems and automotive applications. The input voltage ranges from 3.6V to 13.2V and supports positive and negative input voltages, as well as input and output reverse-current protection against open-load conditions.
