DC-DC switching regulators, such as the MAX764CSA+T, are popularly used in applications that require efficient and reliable voltage regulation, such as those requiring low-noise operation. These regulators employ the switched-mode principle and use a switch to convert a fixed input voltage to an adjustable output voltage. In a DC-DC converter, the input voltage, Vin, is connected to an inductor, then switched to enable mode.
