Introduction
MAX766CPA+ is a high-performance DC-DC switching regulator designed to provide a regulated output voltage and convert input voltages of 2V to 15V to either a 2V to 12V or a 4V to 25V output voltage. It is also useful for reducing battery waste by supplying a constant regulated voltage as the battery voltage drops. The MAX766CPA+ DC-DC switching regulator works by regulating the output voltage to a fixed, predetermined level using voltage feedback. When the output voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the error amplifier, drives the pulse width modulator (PWM) increasing the duty cycle of the switching transistors, which increases the output voltage.
