DC DC Switching Regulators

The MAX766ESA+ is a DC DC switching regulator used to convert an input voltage to a regulated output voltage. The device contains a power MOSFET, a low-dropout voltage regulator, and logic circuitry, which together make up a complete solution for a wide range of applications. It can be used in applications requiring a regulated output voltage from input voltages as low as 2.6V up to 17V. The output current can be as high as 1A.

Application Field and Working Principle

The MAX766ESA+ is mainly used for higher current output than the standard voltage regulators that are commonly used. It can be used for battery-powered equipment and other portable devices, where a fast response and high-performance is required. The output current can be up to 1A, enabling the use of devices with more power such as RF power amplifiers and motor controllers.

The device works using a buck-boost topology to convert the input voltage to a regulated output voltage.
