The MAX973CSA+ linear comparator is a part of the linear-comparator family for ground sensing applications. It is designed to operate from a single +2.7V to +5.5V power supply, or from dual supplies from +1.35V to ±5.5V, and offers low power consumption of only 150µA at +5V. The comparator features excellent amplifiers characteristics such as a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMMR) of 80dB, low input bias current of 10pA, and high output drive capabilities. In addition, it is a precision device and features 0.5% accuracy over temperature range.
The wide common-mode voltage range (CMR) of the MAX973CSA+ can be applied to a variety of applications such as battery backup systems, power switching and voltage monitoring, active filtering, and sensor data acquisition. This device is also widely used to detect low level signals from a variety of sources which may include industrial sensing and control applications, medical data acquisition and control systems, automotive industry tools and equipment, as well as consumer products.
