The MAX9768BETG +T is a combination of two devices: the MAX9768 audio power amplifier IC and a TPA6111A1 filter-amplifier IC. The filter-amplifier performs all of the input impedance, filter and gain adjustment needed for excellent audio playback. The amplifier chip which comprises of 4 channels, is capable of delivering up to 45 dB of gain. The device also features a low noise floor making it ideally suited for audio playback applications.In addition to the amplification capability, the MAX9768BETG +T also provides thermal overload protection, and short circuit protection. The device has a power supply voltage from 4.5V to 6.5V and a maximum supply current of just 500mA. This makes the device ideal for use in battery operated and low power portable applications.The MAX9768BETG +T is highly integrated and includes a thermal overload controller, a boosted power supply, a power amplifier, a balanced input filter-amplifier, a audio output filter and a noise shaper.The thermal overload controller ensures the amplifier remains protected against thermal overload. The thermal overload controller prevents the amplifier from operating at too high a temperature. The output voltage of the amplifier is regulated by a boosted power supply. This ensures stable operation even if the supply voltage varies.The power amplifier is a 4-channel amplifier with a maximum input voltage of 2.5V. The amplifier is capable of delivering up to 45 dB of gain, with a THD of 1% at 1KHz. The amplifier has low output noise and high power output across the entire audio range.The balanced input filter-amplifier performs all the required input impedance, gain and filter adjustments. This ensures that the audio signal is optimized for playback at high quality.
