MAX998ESA is a linear-comparator device fabricated with CMOS technology for minimal power dissipation. It can be used for window comparison, hysteresis control and threshold comparisons. The functionality of this device is based on two window comparators, differential input and single output. There are several features like a power down feature and sequenced start-up compared to the previous versions of the same device. This device can also be used as a voltage reference.

It consists of two independent window comparators that are capable of comparing a variety of signals in order to make decisions on the status of the inputs.
