Working principle

The MB3773PF-GT-BNDK5E1 can operate in two different operation modes: independent operation mode and external synchronization mode. In the independent operating mode, the timer counts according to the cycle set in the TIMER register. Upon completion, the TIMER pulse is output and it starts counting again. The interval can be changed by changing the contents of the TIMER register.

In the external synchro operation mode, the timer starts counting when the external synchro input signal transitions from the LOW to the HIGH and stops counting when it transitions from the HIGH to the LOW. The contents of the TIMER register are also reset at this time. In this mode, the timer can accurately synchronize external signals.

The WDT has an independent oscillator and 6-bit prescaler. It has a one-shot operation mode where it activates the output when the TIME count reaches 0, and a repeated mode where it issues active output every period from 1 to 4096 times. It can also reset the system when the WDT is activated.

The circuit also has a power-on reset circuit that detects the power supply voltage and generates a reset when power supply voltage drops below the set threshold. It has an independent reset input circuit that can detect a low-level reset signal input from an external source, and a WDT reset circuit that can reset the system when the WDT is activated.
