Logic - Signal Switches, Multiplexers, Decoders form part of the large family of digital circuits able to work in different frequencies and to provide necessary conditions while encoding and decoding data streams. What makes them different from traditional analog circuits is their ability to convert high-speed digital, analog and other signals into a format that is recognizable by a computer or other complex devices. One of the most frequently used devices in this field of technology is the MC10E157FNG, a high-frequency digital logic gate for multiplexing and routing applications.

The MC10E157FNG is essentially an 8-bits wide, 2-to-1 multiplexer comprising of two distinct sets or ports of 8-bits wide inputs and outputs. It is capable of multiplexing two 8-bit wide data streams in each direction (input or output) under the control of one select line. The two sets of ports can be thought of two independent multiplexers, whose behavior is governed by the same control signal.
