The MC33696MOD434EV device is part of a family of RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards that offer an integrated system-level, all-in-one solution for evaluating and prototyping Wireless Dynamic Control. It provides a low cost evaluation and development experience for rapid Proof-of-Concept (PoC) demos using the MC33696 and acts as a complete HW and adds Software development platform.
The kit is designed to provide a comprehensive platform for development of advanced Wireless Electronics devices based on the MC33696 Radio transceiver IC. Its primary function is to allow a designer to quickly evaluate a new product using an integrated solution rather than having to design a system from scratch. The MC33696MOD434EV also includes additional features to provide first-time users with a simple and rapid way to evaluate the MC33696 transceiver.
The built-in MC33696s features and application field are as follows:
-Ultra Low voltage, low power consumption (Typically 10mA for Transmit and Receive), 15 kbps Modulation Rates up to 6.8 Mbps Data Rate and 1mW (max) Power
-Integrated and wideband Transceiver for Industrial Automation and Machine Control applications, such as Communications-focussed Energy and Environment Metering
-Bluetooth Low Energy , Zigbee and WirelessHART and other proprietary implementation
-Hardware Controlled and Application Controlled (user-defined) Digital Interface (DIO)
-Integrated External Antenna, VddAC, LDO, Reset, Filtering, and On-Chip Temperature Sensors
-Internal Digital Handling and Modulator/Demodulator
The built-in MC33696s features and working principle. The primary principle is to enable high-speed, low-power, and reliable communication between the device and a nearby transmitter or receiver. The MC33696 transceiver operates on a single, low-power radio-frequency (RF) carrier and operates in two modes: transmit mode and receive mode. In transmit mode, the MC33696 modulates a digital signal on the RF carrier, generates output power, and sends it to a nearby receiver. In receive mode, it demodulates the received signal from a nearby transmitter and outputs a digital signal. In both transmit and receive modes, the MC33696 utilizes Frequency Modulation (FM) techniques to modulate or demodulate the RF carrier signal.
