MC33594FTAR2 is a highly integrated RF receiver targeted for single- and dual-band operation in the worldwide 2.4-GHz and 5-GHz ISM band applications. It is the latest generation of receiver from Freescale Semiconductor. This device provides users with improved receiver sensitivity, an adjustable receive bandwidth, and improved tolerance to multipath environments. It requires minimal external components, making it ideal for low-cost and low-power consumer electronics designs.
The MC33594FTAR2 combines two RF receivers on a single integrated circuit. It features a single antenna port and two independent low-noise RF signal paths which cover the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz ISM bands. The RF receivers employ a direct conversion architecture that includes a low-noise amplifier, down-conversion mixer, and filters. The device is powered from a single 5V supply and has adjustable power consumption to match the application requirements.
The MC33594FTAR2 has a low noise figure of 2 dB and an excellent dynamic range of up to 74 dB with an adjustable receive bandwidth from 20 MHz to 160 MHz.
