MC34167TVG is a voltage regulator specifically designed for DC/DC switching regulator applications. It is a monolithic IC that consists of a power MOSFET and a control element. The power MOSFET comprises a PMOS switch, a blocking diode and a block capacitor. The control element is a voltage detector which monitors the output voltage of the switching regulator.
