The MC34652EFR2 is a Hot Swap controller, classified as a PMIC (Power Management IC). This can protect against damage caused by a short-circuit event and is especially useful when connecting and disconnecting devices to and from a system.When in operation, the MC34652EFR2 uses a set of biasing resistors to set the overvoltage and overcurrent thresholds and a comparator to detect these thresholds.
