Working Principle
The MC3PHACVFAE operates with feedback from AC current or AC voltage sensing inputs. The sampling information from the integrated current and voltage sensing circuit is filtered by a low-pass filter and compared to the reference signals. Based on this comparison and according to the translation coefficients and settings programmed into the device, the output signal is generated.
The output signal is further processed by the pulse-width modulation (PWM) and execute demodulation (XDM) circuits, where the PWM module determines the gain and range of the signal and the XDM circuit could be used to insert phase delays. Both the PWM and XDM outputs are then combined and sent to the power switch outputs, driving the AC motor. The combined feedback and output signals are monitored by an optional comparator circuitry, which is used to protect against overcurrent and overvoltage.
