The MC78L06F-TP is one of the widely used linear voltage regulators from ON Semiconductor. It is part of the medium-voltage CMOS regulator family for automotive and other SMPS applications. It also provides an active low, open-drain POR output signal for remote monitoring and resetting of the MC78L06F-TP.
The MC78L06F-TP also features short-circuit protection to prevent the device from burning out in case of excessive load currents. The thermal shut-down feature of the device further ensures that the device is protected from extremely high temperatures and remains within its safe operating area.
