MCIMX508CVM8B is an ARM-based processor specially developed by NXP Semiconductors. It is designed for the embedded system applications that require a high level of performance and reliable operation. This processor combines a high-performance ARM Cortex-A9 CPU core, embedded memory controllers, low-power modes and various peripherals together to deliver maximum flexibility, performance and cost efficiency for customer systems.
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor can be used in a wide range of embedded system applications such as industrial control, medical and military control, home automation, transportation, point-of-sale, and access control systems.
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor integrates dual ARM Cortex-A9 cores running at up to 1GHz and supports up to 1GB of low-power DDR3 RAM. It also features an ARM NEON multi-media accelerator, a Cryptographic Accelerator, an Integrated Memory Controller, and an on-chip Interconnect.
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor has a high-performance ARM Cortex-A9 core which has been designed to deliver maximum performance while maintaining low power consumption. It has a variable operating voltage range of 0.8V - 1.2V and features advanced power management features including Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling (DVFS) and Self Refresh (SRF).
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor also features a low-power DDR3 RAM controller which supports up to 1GB of RAM. The DDR3 RAM controller supports a range of clock frequencies from 800MHz to 1200MHz. The processor also integrates an on-chip Interconnect which is an optimized high-speed data fabric. The Interconnect supports various bus topologies and reliable communication protocols.
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor integrates an ARM NEON multi-media accelerator which is a high-performance multi-media accelerator that supports a range of video and image processing algorithms. The multi-media accelerator supports up to 8-channel DDR3 memory with up to 16MB of video framestore memory.
The ARM NEON multi-media accelerator supports a range of video and image processing algorithms such as scaling, rotation, de-interlacing, filtering, color conversion and motion estimation. It also supports an advanced post-processing engine for Adaptive Contrast Enhancement (ACE) and Digital Anti-Aliasing (DAA).
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor also features a Cryptographic Accelerator which provides hardware-accelerated AES, DES, TDES, SHA-1 and SHA-256 encryption. The Cryptographic Accelerator is compliant with FIPS 140-2 standard and supports up to 1024-bit key sizes.
The MCIMX508CVM8B processor has been designed to deliver maximum performance, reliability and flexibility while maintaining low power consumption. This processor is ideal for a wide range of embedded system applications that require performance, low-power operation and reliable operation.
