The Gate signal is driven through a constant on-time (COT) signal, which allows for continuous and stable Gate driving. The COT signal is determined by the internal comparator and is derived by sensing the voltage across the Gate and Drain. By controlling the Gate drive via the COT signal and using a low-power startup voltage regulator, the circuit is able to achieve clean and reliable Gate driving. The COT signal also makes sure that the external load is protected from any overvoltage or overcurrent conditions. Furthermore, the circuit has ESD protection and overcurrent protection.
