MCP6481T-E/OT is a programmable rail-to-rail linear amplifier with low offset voltage that is ideal for use in instrumentation, buffering, signal conditioning and other circuit optimization applications. The device offers rail-to-rail input range of ±100 mV and a high gain linearity of 0.1%.

The device integrates a high-performance integrated amplifier and a 5-bit digital input port to achieve adjustable gain from 0.25 to 25. It is built on a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch, offering controllable gain control, with an additional parallel output in the chip to adjust the gain value easily. The device is packaged in a small footprint MSOP-8 package, measuring only 4.9 mm x 3.9 mm, making it suitable for small and medium-sized applications where space is a constraint.

Working Principle:

At the core of the MCP6481T-E/OT amplifier is a high-performance integrated amplifier with a 5-bit digital input port for adjustable gain control ranging from 0.25 to 25. The device integrates a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch, which allows adjustable gain control simply by adjusting the voltage on the REF pin. There is also a parallel output in the chip to adjust the gain value easily, offering great flexibility for applications. The device also has a low offset voltage of 0.5 mV and low noise performance of 10 nV/Hz at 10 kHz. In addition, the amplifier has a low quiescent current of 4.8 mA, making it suitable for battery powered systems.

The device also features a rail-to-rail input range of ±100 mV and a wide gain linearity of 0.1%. In addition, it has a high output current capability of up to 300 mA. The device has a wide power supply range of 2.7 V to 36 V and is capable of operating at a maximum temperature of 105°C.
