The MCP6V02-E/MD is a monolithic, dual, low-power op amp with precision performance available in space-saving 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP packages. It is designed to replace traditional dual op amps because of its low-power characteristics, cost-effectiveness and performance capabilities.

The MCP6V02-E/MD can be used in a variety of applications, including automotive and medical test and measurement instrumentation and data acquisition systems, portable medical and industrial instrumentation, imaging systems, buffer amplifiers, and sample-and-hold circuits. It is also useful in sensor and actuator networks, industrial process control systems, voice over IP (VoIP) systems, and audio-frequency applications, such as mixers and filters, as well as ac and DC power amplifier stages.

For many instrumentation, op amp and buffer amp applications, the MCP6V02-E/MD offers a number of features. It features low power consumption and low quiescent current. Its high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) is an advantage when signal sources have common-mode voltage excursions. It also has a rail-to-rail output swing, which allows it to provide rail-to-rail signal outputs while consuming minimal power.

The MCP6V02-E/MD’s unique instrumentation amplifier (INA) provides a high CMRR and low noise performance without sacrificing low power consumption. The INA includes two input differential amplifiers, a gain adjust pin and an output stage. The design uses an on-chip trim resistor to set the gain, and the output stage is a rail-to-rail output amplifier.
