The MCP6V62-E/MS is an instrument amplifier module that provides two low-noise, wide bandwidth, and rail-to-rail input and output operations. It is powered by a single 3.3V supply and is designed for a wide range of instrumentation, analytical, and measurement applications. The MCP6V62-E/MS is particularly well-suited for applications requiring low-noise, wide dynamic range, high-voltage headroom, and low power consumption.

The core of the MCP6V62-E/MS is a dual-channel, high-bandwidth op amp featuring a wide range of inputs and outputs. The device is capable of amplifying a signal from as low as -50dB to levels of +70dB with no external components. Each output can drive up to 20mA with a modest 750mV operating voltage.

The device is each optimized to a set of parameters; input impedance, output load capability, and gain level. The MCP6V62-E/MS provides rail-to-rail input and output operation, a 200kHz unity gain bandwidth, a slew rate of 5V/µs, and a 130mV minimum output drive. This enhanced capability enables the MCP6V62-E/MS to be used in a variety of applications including in-line amplifiers and buffering, as well as traditional multiplexing, filtering, and sample and hold circuits.

The low-noise specification of the device gives it a distinct advantage over many of its counterparts. The device exhibits a typical noise value of 1.25µVrms (typical) over a 0.1Hz to 20kHz frequency range, giving it exceptional low-noise performance for a variety of instrumentation and analytical applications.

The MCP6V62-E/MS supports a variety of external amplification stages including cascaded op amp nets, as well as active gates and filters. The flexible architecture of the device allows the input stage to perform a wide variety of operations including clocking, hysteresis, and level setting.

The output stage is equally flexible, which is the main advantage of the MCP6V62-E/MS over many of its counterparts. It can drive a wide array of loads ranging from resistive loads to capacitive loads, as well as non-linear systems and analog-to-digital converters. The device is designed to minimize supply-noise and crosstalk, and it also provides a high Common-Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) of up to 65dB, allowing it to operate without significant power in a noisy environment.
